Demelza's Story

Demelza Green is an award-winning digital leader and Co-CEO of two Australian tech companies — Patient Zero and 10,000 Spoons — where she builds delivery cultures, drives business transformation, and challenges what leadership in tech is supposed to look like.

With a background in UX, product design, testing, and agile coaching, Demelza is known for navigating complexity with clarity — and for blending structure, soul, and just enough chaos to keep things interesting.

She was named UX Leader of the Year at the 2023 Women in Digital Awards for her work on a culturally-led augmented reality storytelling experience co-created with Indigenous-owned Birrunga Gallery. In 2024, she received the ARN Innovation Award for Management Excellence, recognised for leading teams behind 75% of her company’s revenue.

“Goosebumps… bridging our ancient culture with modern tech.” — Women in Digital Awards Judge, 2023

“Defined by her ability to lead high-profile teams, execute projects at scale, and drive transformative growth.” — ARN Innovation Awards, 2024

Demelza has spoken at DHF, Something Tech, ARN Edge, Women in Digital, and other national events. She’s also been featured on ABC Radio National’s This Working Life, sharing insights on hybrid leadership and team design.

Her talks are real, sharp, and disarmingly funny — diving into people dynamics, personal transformation, the future of digital, and brand as reputation and experience. At her core is a belief in being unapologetically yourself — and building brands, teams, and cultures that embrace their weirdness, creativity, and edge. Her distinct voice is shaped by a journey through co-leadership, delivery culture, and experience design, with a deep fascination for how experimental environments unlock unexpected outcomes.

"When you lean into the weird, that’s where the good stuff happens." — Demelza Green

When she’s not building digital teams or on stage with a mic, Demelza is likely writing, travelling, or devouring steak with the loyalty of a true carnivore. She’s a little weird, a little uncool, and entirely curious. Equal parts creative wildcard and adventure-seeker, she pulls from any box she needs, whether she’s leading teams, jumping off cliffs (on purpose), watching F1 with a steak in hand, or trying to reclaim couch space from her cavoodle. And yes, she loves wine. Definitely wine. Let's not forget wine.
